Homemade Chili!

I swear by my chili, and everyone always loves it! Perfect for a cool night, and hey, the guys like it in the middle of summer, haha!

Homemade Chili

Ingredients:
  • 2 (or 2 1/2) lbs lean ground beef
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans kidney beans, drained
  • 1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes with juice
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • Jalapenos (optional)
  • 1 can beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons oregano
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper


Directions:
  1. Brown ground beef in pan on stove, drain, then add to the slow cooker. Saute onion and garlic in pan, then add to the slow cooker.
  2. Add beef broth, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, jalapenos, and kidney beans to the slow cooker. Add Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, oregano, paprika, salt, basil, black pepper, and cayenne pepper to the slow cooker.
  3. Cook on high for 6 hours or on low for 8 hours.
